HORTACTIX
APVMA PESTICIDE REGULATION
In our integrated pest and disease management programs, Hortactix only works with eco-friendly pesticides used within an IPDM strategy. These pesticides are only ever used as a last resort based on an active monitoring and resistance management program.
To be considered for use, these pesticides (insecticides, fungicides and herbicides), must be soft on the environment, safe to natural pest and disease enemies, and only used when absolutely necessary.
Hortactix can assist chemical companies with both lab and field efficacy research to develop datasets needed for product evaluation and registration purposes.
Hortactix also has experience working with the Australian Pesticide Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) as lead pesticide reviewer so we understand the process and requirements needed for the pesticide registration process.
Most of our interest is in seeing new generation pesticides that are target specific and soft on the environment and beneficials becoming registered for industry application.
Hortactix is happy to assist in the registration process by providing efficacy data for new product evaluation and registration and also able to review new product applications for the APVMA.
